While cyber safety is now one of our basic necessities, sometimes certain macOS features can seem a little overprotective. If you know the app to be clean, there’s a way to override the “macOS cannot verify that this app is free from malware” warning. Here’s how:

To avoid the software being classified as malware, I would have to be a registered developer with Apple. Apple charges 99€/year for this. As I offer the software free of charge, this is not possible for me. Any software from an unregistered developer is classified as “malware”!
